As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to animals in our facility.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animal welfare and enjoy working in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities - Provide daily care and feeding for animals, including birds and reptiles.
- Clean and maintain animal enclosures, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment - Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff - Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by our director.
- Handle animals with care and compassion, using proper animal handling techniques - Assist with animal restraint during procedures or examinations - Provide exercise and enrichment activities for animals to promote their physical and mental well-being - Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications administered, and any observed changes in behavior or health Care of the facility and aviaries including minor repairs is a part of the job.
Qualifications - Previous experience in animal care or related field preferred - Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior - Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus - Ability to handle animals safely and confidently using proper restraint techniques - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment If you have a genuine love for animals and are committed to their well-being, we encourage you to apply for the position of Animal Caretaker.
